This week was a little crazy. I thought I would have more time than I did but it was still really fun! Paul and I both had a lot of homework to do for our midterms. We are also trying to eat healthier and not going out to eat. So I have been cooking more. I had a hard time staying motivated to do all the dishes that come with cooking dinner, so I decided to make it a little more fun for myself and take pictures of my plated dinners and share them on Instagram/Facebook/blog. You can follow me if you want :) I'm on insta as sarah.c.roberts, facebook as @sarah.c.roberts85 and the blog is mixingbowlswiththeroberts.blogspot.com
I'm thinking that I can tie it in with what I'm learning in class with some tips of how to improve family meal times but I haven't had time to do that yet.
This weekend was really fun. We came down Friday evening and had a dinner date with Paul's parents at Citrus Grill. Then we got some ice cream after. It was nice to see them and catch up.
Saturday, Clare came over in the morning so I could do her makeup and mom could do her hair. She looked very beautiful. Paul and I met up with Paul's brother, Matt, and his girlfriend, Hannah, later that morning for the Jordan River Temple open house. It looks really beautiful but neither of us have been there recently to notice all the changes that were made. Matt and Hannah were really cute and fun to be with. They went to see Grandma Roberts for her birthday after our date.

Paul and I went back to Salt Lake and picked up Whitney Corbett and the wedding cake to take up to the venue in Oakley. Whitney did a great job and making the cake. It was so delicious and looked simple and elegant. It took us about an hour to get to Oakley since we were driving through some scary weather but Paul got us there safely! The ceremony was so sweet. Clare's cousin married them and he did a great job of making it spiritual and personal to them. Clare and Chandler are very minimalist and relaxed and this wedding was so perfect for them. Cute and simple.
We got back to Salt Lake around 7:30 and just watched a movie with mom and dad. We watched Stand and Deliver about the math teacher at an underprivileged school where all his students passed the AP calculus exam. It was really good.
Sunday, Dad and I did the musical number. We just did an easy one page song and it turned out good I think. After church we went to see Gram and Grandpa Reed. We just chatted with them and their home teachers before they went to Jeff's birthday dinner. Then we just came back for dinner and games and then headed back to Logan. The potatoes turned out super yummy :P and I hope Amelia doesn't mind me stealing her Helsinki hat ;)
Overall, a busy but fun week. Love you all!
