I had Wednesday off this week so we made breakfast and opened our gifts to each other. Later that same day we went up to Paradise with friends. One of our friends parents has a little farm out there. They took us on a sleigh ride, served us dinner, and had a musical evening of Christmas songs. It was a lot of fun.
We were originally planning to come to Salt Lake Saturday morning but there was going to be a big snow storm Friday night. So right after work we drove down and avoided that.
We had a fun party with Paul's extended family on Saturday. His grandparents gave us their autobiography's and then we got to play a friendly game of basketball.
Sunday was a great meeting hearing from Elder Ballard about Joseph Smith. Dinner was also delicious, as usual. I love our Christmas traditions for mealtimes.
Sunday evening we went to the Robert's to talk to Paul's brother, Adam, who is serving his mission in the Philippines right now. It was fun to hear what kind of food they eat, the culture, and his experiences as a missionary.
Driving home was a little scary. There were a couple of inches of snow on I-15 by North Salt Lake but we were careful and made it home safely.
