June 12, 2018

This week was so beautiful. It has been sunny and hot all week.
We met up with Cameron and Colette on Wednesday for snow cones before they moved down to salt lake to work with Cameron's brother in law.
Thursday we helped the scouts pass out flyers for a fourth of July breakfast fundraiser. It was nice that it was a short and easy assignment for this week.
The summer arts faire was in Logan this weekend and we had the chance to go! There were blacksmiths, glass blowers, and lots of painters and photographers. We listened to some live music when we ran into Paul's old roommate and his wife. They are expecting a baby in November. We hadn't seen them for a couple of months since they moved to vernal so it was fun to catch up and hear them perform.
The rest of the weekend has been competitive card playing ðŸ˜‚
Love you guys and happy Father's day!

This week was good with work for both of us. We had a good time at scouts because we just had our boys instead of combining so it was not as crazy. We talked about animals and what you do to take care of them.
We're glad we were able to come down to salt lake to celebrate Gram's life. The funeral service was very lovely and sweet.

We came down to practice the musical number and attend the viewing Friday night where we all got to say goodbye to her.

Saturday we went to the salt lake cemetery for Gram's burial before going to Jeff's ward building for the service. A handful of grandkids played string instruments and performed come thou fount. All the sons spoke and so did Meisha, the oldest granddaughter, and Gram's friend, Sue. All the grandchildren and their spouses sang the closing song, Blessing, to finish the service. We had refreshments afterwards then went to Jeff's home to talk more about Gram's life.

Ben and I went out for rolled ice cream at foothill that evening. We played catch phrase as a family then watched hunt for the wilderpeople, a funny new Zealand movie.

Love you all!

May 28,2018

This week went by so fast.

Monday was memorial day. We met up with Cameron and Colette and went on a hike around first dam. There were a lot of dead deer up there and it was pretty spooky. After that we went to Buffalo wild wings with them to watch the Golden State v rockets game. Paul got so excited about it that he ate all my food without realizing ðŸ˜‚ it was a really good game and, of course, GS won!

It was so sad to hear of Gram's passing on Wednesday. It was touching to hear stories from everyone about those last couple of days with her. We already miss her so much.

Ragnar happened this weekend and was a great experience. It was so fun to do something all together and be cheering each other on. Our whole team did awesome and we made great time finishing the race. My favorite leg was my eight mile run at 3:40 am. It was so beautiful. Thanks for the van support! ðŸ˜‰

Love you guys!
